This Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating our Women of BMW! Each nominee exemplifies the pillars of movement and BMW and serves as an inspiration for the BMW family. Throughout the series, we will hear the stories and advice from women leaders who have broken stereotypes and shattered glass ceilings. We created the #WomenofBMW series to highlight the progress of women in their roles throughout the automotive industry while motivating change going forward.

Q: In a few words, describe your role at BMW?
A: I am a Section Manager at Plant 10 Spartanburg. Responsible for 12 Direct Reports and 388 Indirect Associates. I am responsible for leader development, budget, efficiencies and overall Product Quality .
Q: As a management level associate, what skills and abilities do you feel are important to be successful in Warehouse Operations?
A: Leadership, Coaching, Listening, Decision Making Abilities, Influence
Q: How would you say you’ve grown throughout personally and professionally your role at BMW?
A: Personally, I have had growth in my leadership and collaboration abilities. I am able to apply the knowledge gained at BMW in all areas of my life. I have grown technically and improved my abilities to problem solve, which is also applicable in my personal life.
Q: What advice would you give to women pursuing a career in your field?
A: Never underestimate their potential and their influence in a male dominated profession.
Q: What inspires you in the workplace and why?
A: People and the Product. I love seeing people grow and reach their full potential. I thoroughly enjoy being able to help develop leaders of the future. The Product gives me great joy, in knowing that I had a part in creating an ultimate driving experience for our customers.
