Q: Tell us a little bit about your company and how it is using innovative methods to solve urban challenges?
A: We are developing innovative solutions to fight global climate change. Cities are at their greatest threat from climate change. Our autonomous robots convert agricultural waste into biochar, which helps to sequester atmospheric CO2.
Q: What inspired you to start your company?
A: My co-founder and I have worked in carbon sequestration for over 30 years combined. We are passionate about developing natural solutions to fight global climate change.
Q: Tell us why you decided to apply to the URBAN-X Program? What were the key takeaways for your company during the program?
A: We applied because URBAN-X’s focus on climate change really resonated with us. We developed a new prototype of our technology with help from URBAN-X’s experts in residence. We also totally revamped our pitch and deck.
Q: What advice to you have for other startups and/ or inspiring entrepreneurs looking to reimagine urban life?
A: Focus on combining impact with your mission and business model. That way it’s possible to do good while making your company financially viable.
