Electromobility is more than just a trend, it’s becoming a large share of future mobility. To account for the transition to electrified vehicles, the BMW Group is taking precautions within our supply chain to combat any violations of human rights in the sourcing of materials like cobalt. Beginning next year, through the “Cobalt for Development” project, the BMW Group will source raw cobalt for electric vehicles directly and will incorporate it into the overall supply chain, maintaining full responsibility and transparency over where the raw material comes from.
