
Since beginning in 2011, the BMW Scholars program has provided tuition assistance, hands-on training through part-time employment, and, upon graduation, the opportunity for full-time employment to 180 students seeking education in advanced manufacturing. In 2018, BMW doubled the size of the two-year program to 200 apprentices.
T Based at BMW Manufacturing Co. in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the BMW Scholars program provides tuition assistance and hands-on training in advanced manufacturing to students attending class full-time to earn manufacturing related degrees at partnering technical colleges. BMW covers the cost of tuition and books, provides healthcare benefits, and pays students for their work.
The partnering institutions include: Spartanburg Community College, Greenville Technical College and Tri-County Technical College, and Piedmont Technical College. Learn More.
