Partnering to Achieve Sustainability

The BMW Group is committed to working together to promote and achieve a more sustainable future both in the United States and around the world.

Achieving a more sustainable future cannot be achieved alone; therefore, the BMW Group has joined initiatives to reduce emissions and build a more sustainable world.

In 2015, the BMW Group entities across the United States joined the American Business Act on Climate Pledge, demonstrating support for far-reaching climate change agreements and committing to company-specific goals and action against climate change.

The BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt promotes responsible leadership and inspires leaders worldwide to work towards a peaceful, just, and sustainable future. The group aims to advance the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

Beginning in 2017, BMW of North America partnered with the National Park Foundation, National Park Service, and Department of Energy to implement 100 electric vehicle charging stations in national parks and nearby communities across the country to make America’s national parks more accessible to drivers of electric vehicles. This partnership will help reduce air pollution in parks and educate visitors on the benefits of advanced and alternative vehicles. Learn More.
